The first step to getting your Social Wall up and running is adding a Connection.  In this article we show you how to add and manage a Twitter Connection.

2. Click on the «Connect with Twitter» button in the pop-up window that opens.

3. Please provide your login credentials for Twitter when prompted to do so. Click the "Authorize app" button to continue.

4. Your authorized social profile is now displayed. To add different social profile, click on the «New Profile» button. To learn more about Social Profiles, click here. 

To collect the tweets of a public Twitter account, select «Profile» from the menu bar. Then enter the username in the provided field. Decide if you also want to collect retweets and replies to tweets from this Twitter account, and whether you want to moderate the collected content before it is displayed publicly on your social wall. To finish and create the new Twitter User Profile Connection, click on the «Create»-button.

To collect tweets via Hashtag or User Like, you need an OAuth 2.0 Bearer Token from Twitter. You can obtain this token by purchasing a paid service from Twitter. The Basic access costs $100 per month and allows you to receive up to 10,000 tweets per month via hashtag from Twitter. (Status April 2023, please view prices directly on the website of Twitter to get up-to-date information on their pricing).

If you have a token, click on «Hashtag» in the menu to get started then on «set up for your team». You will be taken to the Team Settings.

You are now in the Team Settings menu under Advanced. To have access to Team Settings, you need to be the owner or admin of your team.

Now copy your Bearer Token from the Twitter Developer Portal and paste it into the designated field in contentfry. Give the token a name and then click on «Save».

Your newly added Bearer Token is now visible in the list of «Active Bearer Tokens».
Now navigate back to your Room where you want to set up the Hashtag Connection.

Click on the Twitter icon in the Connections Panel and then on «Hashtag» in the menu of the pop-up that has opened. Now enter your hashtag and complete the process by clicking on the «Create» button.
