Sometimes the content of an already collected post changes, for example, because the text in the blog article or Instagram post has been edited. In this article, we will show you how to delete a single piece of content from contentfry and then re-collect it again.

1. In the contentfry dashboard, navigate to the content that you want to update, then click on «more options» (...). Next, in the dropdown menu, click on "Manage index".

2. Now click on «delete» in the pop-up window that appears. The content will then be deleted and will be removed from your contentfry dashboard.

3. Then navigate to the Connection through which the content was collected and click on the gear icon next to the Connection name.

4. Next, in the new pop-up window, click on the «content update» symbol with the two arrows. Contentfry will now re-collect the edited post with the updated content.

Important to note: With this method of updating a content, the content will be completely deleted and re-collected. Especially with user-generated content that was aggregated through a hashtag, special care should be taken when deleting and re-collecting content. There may be various reasons why the content cannot be re-collected, for example, because its publication date is too far back.

Therefore, we recommend using the method described here mainly for your owned Connections such as RSS feeds from your own blog or your own Instagram Account for content that is not too far back in time.
