To ensure your Social Wall stays up to date, your Connections (content feeds) must be functioning properly. In this article, we will show you how to maintain system health and prevent Connections from breaking.

Checking Your Team's Connection Health

To get an overview of your connection health, click on the Health tab at the top of your Team's dashboard.

There you will find detailed information on which connections have issues, along with suggestions on how to fix them. You'll also see which member set up each connection and get a comprehensive list of the connection health in each room.

When A Connection Stops Working

In addition to the Health tab, a connection with an issue will be indicated by a red exclamation mark next to the broken connection in your room's connection list.

You will also receive an email notification alerting you to the issue and the need for action. This notification is sent to the owner and the member who set up the expired Connection.

Most Common Error: Expired Connections

Most social networks require authentication, meaning you need to give contentfry permission to collect content from your profiles or gather public content on your behalf. For security reasons, these permissions often expire after a certain period and need to be renewed. Expired authentications are the most common reason a Connection stops working.

Other Common Sources of Errors

  • The URL of the content source has changed, e.g., after moving your blog (RSS feed) or changing your profile name on social media. In this case, you need to set up a new connection.

  • You have reached a rate limit. Instagram, for example, limits the number of contents that can be collected through an authentication token. Learn more.
